Mobile Search, Publishing and Advertising Leader 4INFO Closes $10 Million Financing Led by Gannett Co., Inc.

Palo Alto, CA, June 20, 2007 – 4INFO, Inc., the pioneer in mobile search, publishing and advertising, announced today that it has completed a $10 million Series D round of funding led by Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI), which also included previous investors U.S. Venture Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson. Sand Hill Capital joined the round as a new investor. 4INFO will use the additional funding for product development and to expand its sales and distribution teams as it continues to grow into a profitable company. Gannett has been a 4INFO distribution partner since September 2005 and a strategic investor in the company since January 2006.

"We're proud to have the opportunity to build on our relationship with Gannett, a visionary company that is leading traditional media's expansion into the mobile sphere," said 4INFO CEO Zaw Thet. "Gannett's support enables 4INFO to continue to advance our business of providing useful, timely information to consumers via their mobile phones and marketers with a unique way to reach an engaged mobile audience."

4INFO is the leading provider of SMS based mobile search and alert services, offering consumers free access to real-time sports scores, 411, stock quotes, weather updates, horoscopes and more information. Consumers send a text message search to 44636 (4INFO on a phone keypad) or visit http://mobile.4info.net on their phone's browser.

4INFO's SMS Publishing Platform, allows print and online publishers such as USA TODAY, Spark Networks and TV Guide, to easily mobilize and monetize their content. 4INFO turns what is normally a cost center for traditional media companies into a revenue stream. At the same time, 4INFO offers the only advertising inventory in user-requested SMS content that has true national reach, providing marketers with a highly engaged and responsive audience and a proven ROI. The company's SMS Ad Marketplace was announced in April of 2007.

"4INFO has demonstrated an ability to excel in an increasingly crowded and competitive marketplace," said Jack Williams, president of Gannett Digital. "Moving 4INFO forward as an innovator and leader in mobile search and advertising makes great business and strategic sense for Gannett."

Consumer adoption of text messaging is growing at a significant rate, particularly among youth. Over 158 billion text messages were sent last year in the US alone, and those numbers are expected to continue to grow. USA TODAY recently announced a partnership with 4INFO to offer informative and entertaining text message services to its readers. Advertisers are beginning to maximize the benefits of directly engaging consumers via this type of preferred mobile content. In a mobile advertising campaign initiative, Chevrolet worked with USA TODAY and 4INFO to reach consumers seeking updates on the 2007 March Madness tournament. These consumers were able to reply to the mobile ads to find the Chevrolet dealer closest to them.
